Helena Schaeffer is a Boston-based artist and writer currently studying illustration and visual narrative at the Lesley University College of Art and Design. She was raised in the Maine wilderness by a pack of academics, and has previously studied art and literature in Western Massachusetts and fine arts in London. Her background in history and mythology leads her to create narrative works with a heavy focus on historical costume, Slavic folklore, and detail-oriented pedantic miscellany. She is passionate about making work that provides a reflection for people who struggle to see themselves in history.
